Suggestions and Advice
In this section we want to provide you with some ideas of what you could be doing in your salon to help improve customer retention during this difficult time.
The things you need to be thinking about include practical finances, keeping as germ free as possible, social distancing and all things coronavirus.

- Up your game in the hygiene arena. This includes wiping down all stations between each client and every hour or two wiping down high traffic touch points such as the counter, toilet area and door knobs.
- Remove all reading material and ask clients to bring their own.
- Implement home pamper packs where clients can purchase online or over the phone and have them delivered to their door via courier or the like so they can enjoy their favourite products from home when they can’t leave their house.
- Only place guests in every second chair so they are spaced 1.5 metres apart or if you have the room make sure all your chairs are spaced that far apart.
- Keep an eye out for any government assistance in your area for businesses impacted by the coronavirus.
- Provide hand sanitizer for guests to use as they enter the salon.
