CHRISTMAS!! the busiest time of the year for almost all salons, all over the world. It’s when you see more clients than ever, make more sales than ever, and close the doors on Christmas Eve completely exhausted and looking forward to a few days break. But what’s going to happen in January?

Here’s a way many WSM member salons have found works brilliantly to fill chairs and treatment rooms in the ‘dead zone’ after Christmas. It’s called the …

CHRISTMAS TREE LUCKY DIP

It works like this (with whatever modifications you see as necessary):

1) Buy a large Christmas tree and erect it in a prominent place in your salon.

2) Get some small brightly-coloured cardboard boxes or envelopes (cheap, from discount stores like Red Dot) and string them up all over the tree, along with traditional Christmas decorations.

3) Into each box or envelope, put Gift Vouchers of varying values, say $20, $30 & $50 – and in one box or envelope, a ‘hero’ gift voucher of say, $300.

Get this happening by the second week of December. Print up posters similar to the one you see here.

“Book and pay for your visit in January, and you get to choose a ‘Lucky Dip’ prize from the Christmas Tree, valued up to $300!”
